​Stevo (aka Steven Bugeja), originally from Malta, has gained worldwide recognition for his black and grey realism tattoos. He blends opaque shading with a unique calligraphic style, setting new standards in portrait and realism tattooing.​
 

With over nine years dedicated to tattooing, Stevo  spent the first four years honing his skills before opening Malta's leading tattoo studio. His drive led him to collaborate with top artists across Europe, boosting his artistic abilities and earning him an international following of over a million people across all platforms.​

Born and raised on the scenic island of Malta, Stevo discovered his love for art at age 12. Determined to become an exceptional tattoo artist, he practiced drawing tirelessly, building the foundation for his future career.​
 

At 19, Stevo began his apprenticeship at Malta's most respected tattoo studio, quickly earning national recognition. After four years of perfecting his craft, he opened his own studio, which soon became the country's most renowned and successful.​
 

Stevo's innovative techniques, combining opaque shading with a distinctive calligraphic flow, have redefined portrait and realism tattooing. His dedication to advancing realism has produced artwork that appears to come alive on the skin, captivating audiences worldwide.​

While in Malta, Stevo attracted clients from around the globe, especially from the United States. This international recognition prompted his move to New York City, where he now practices at Monolith Studio alongside world renowned artists Okan Ockun and Oscar Akermo. 

His work has been featured in notable publications like Tattoo Society, further solidifying his reputation in the industry.​
